ANDY MACHIN
Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Andy relocated to Southern California and graduated from UCSD in La Jolla, California, with degrees in Music and Engineering. In addition to being a sought after Producer, Mixer and Engineer, Andy is an award winning songwriter/artist/guitarist. He is a member of Seventhings (Machin and partner Margaret McClure) and a founding member of the writing team The System (Machin, McClure, Bev Nelson and Cliff Nelson)
He has produced albums in various styles, including; Rock, Pop, R&B, Hip Hop, Hot AC, Country, New Age and Metal. As a songwriter he's penned for various artists including Star De Azlan, Tim Flannery, Nikki Wilkins, Sherry Lavelle, Lucas Ciliberti, and Carpool, which was an album co-written with Kim Fowley. He has had hundreds of film/TV placements including, ESPN's Surfer Magazine, MTV and even the theme song for a national ad campaign for PCH Clothing. Recently he composed, produced and recorded the score to the award winning independent film "Death, The Desert and Joe". Andy excels in the following: guitar, mandolin, bass, vocals, percussion, keyboards, digital editing, MIDI production and drum programming.
MARGARET MCCLURE
Margaret McClure is a native of Southern California a.k.a "red head surf chick". She has had a successful solo artist career, played with many bands and has years of performance and writing experience. McClure started her performance career as the first violinist in the "Orange County District Orchestra" as a teenager, but preferred Bluegrass and Punk Rock.
One of her specialties is combining style elements to create a familiar yet original sound. She has a never ending supply of lyrical and musical ideas and brings her unique female emotional perspective, intellectual sense of humor as well as her modern feel for "cool" to the songs. Working with and developing new artists and songwriters is also something she does well.
The songs McClure and Machin are writing and producing at Bigrock Studios are getting rave reviews from critics, winning many awards, being featured on "Broadjam", "American Idol Underground" and can be heard on "The Local Show Live" and are being featured on MTV's "My Super Sweet 16", "Taquita and Kaui", "Making The Band 4", the primetime network show "Access Hollywood", as well as VH1's "Best Week Ever", and PBS's "Road Rules", and most recently, the Lifetime made for TV movie "She Drives Me Crazy". They are excited about many other film and TV placements for the upcoming season.
ERIC NEILSEN
Working as a free lance engineer for Bigrock for almost 9 years, Eric brings not only experience, but technical perfection. He interned at Westlake Audio in L.A., and has worked at numerous studios in L.A. and San Diego.
Eric was recommended by Kim Fowley to mix one of Andy Machin's earlier projects. He has been a valued staff member ever since.
